BEHAVIOR & SAFETY POLICY

 

At Rain or Sun, we welcome all children and understand that every child expresses themselves differently. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment for all families.

 

Caregiver Responsibility

Caregivers must actively supervise their children at all times. We encourage stepping in early to guide behavior, especially if a child becomes overwhelmed, frustrated, or overstimulated.

 

Play Expectations

Children are expected to:

• Play safely and respectfully with others

• Use toys and equipment as intended

 

Unsafe, overly rough, or inappropriate use of toys and equipment may result in a pause from the play area.

 

WHEN A BREAK IS NEEDED

 

If a child is having difficulty during play, caregivers should:

• Step in and redirect behavior

• Take a short break from the play area if needed

• Return to play once the child is ready

 

Simple, calm communication is encouraged to help children reset.

 

SAFETY COMES FIRST

 

If a child engages in any of the following:

• Hitting, biting, or physical aggression

• Repeated unsafe behavior

• Misuse or damage of toys and equipment

 

Caregivers will be expected to immediately step in and remove the child from the play area for a reset.

 

If another child is involved, please ensure they are okay and notify a team member if assistance is needed.

 

TEMPORARY REMOVAL POLICY

 

If unsafe or disruptive behavior continues, or if a child causes harm to others or the play space, Rain or Sun may require the family to take a break for the remainder of the day.

 

This is not a punishment, but a step to maintain a safe and positive environment for all guests.

 

Families are always welcome to return another day.

 

WORKING TOGETHER

 

For children who may need additional support, we are happy to work with families to create a more successful visit. This may include visiting during less busy times or using strategies that help your child feel more comfortable.

BIRTHDAY PARTY GUIDELINES

 

All party reservations are scheduled in 2-hour time slots.

Guests must exit the party area by or before the end of their reserved time to allow for proper transition and cleaning.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

 

All parties include:

• 2 pizzas

• Beverages

• Plates, napkins, and utensils

• Reserved table/party area during your time slot

 

Private parties also include:

• Limited assistance from a Rain or Sun team member during your event

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

 

To keep things simple and flexible, the following are not included:

• Decorations (balloons, backdrops, themed decor, etc.)

• Cake or desserts

• Party host for non-private parties

• Setup or full cleanup assistance beyond standard turnover

 

Families are welcome to bring their own decorations and cake, but all items must be set up and removed within the reserved time slot.

 

SETUP & TIMING

 

• Setup and breakdown must be completed within your scheduled 2-hour window

• Early entry is not guaranteed unless otherwise advised by our team

• Late departures may result in additional fees

 

We recommend arriving on time and planning accordingly to enjoy your full party experience.

BOOKING & DEPOSITS

 

• A deposit is required to reserve your party

• Deposits are non-refundable

• If needed, deposits may be transferred as a credit toward a future booking

GUEST & SPACE GUIDELINES

 

• Caregivers are responsible for supervising children at all times

• Children must play safely and use equipment as intended

• Unsafe behavior or misuse of the space may result in removal from play

 

PRIVATE PARTY NOTE

 

Private parties include limited staff assistance to help ensure a smooth experience. Non-private parties do not include staff assistance and are self-managed by the hosting family.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

 

• Outside food is limited to cake and light party items unless otherwise approved

• We reserve the right to enforce all safety and timing policies to maintain a positive experience for all guests
